Lauro Golf Lawn Bowls Club

Towards the end of 2006, discussions began with the Pitarch family to investigate the possibility of creating a Lawn Bowls Club at Lauro Golf.  This will be the first "inland" bowls club in the province of Malaga, and as such, is likely to prove to be very popular, saving players the necessity to make journeys down to the coast to play their favourite game.

Recently a meeting of some prospective members was held, together with D.Vicente Pitarch, and a steering committee was formed to help get the project under way.  Sr Pitarch indicated that his family were keen to proceed with the venture at the earliest possible opportunity and hoped to begin breaking ground for the rink as early as February 2007.

The officers appointed by the steering committee are as follows:

Secretary: Alan Hall
